Hillbilly
Went to 2 Sam's locations these weekend to stock up on candy. Neither one had Skittles. I checked the website and all they show is the really small packages. Really don't want to order them and pay shipping.

sherlock
Wow. I was just at my local Sam's last week and they had plenty of Skittles...didn't look like they were phasing them out at all. I don't understand why some stores have certain items and others don't. Especially something like skittles which they have carried for so long. I can remember finding Skittles at Sam's going back years...long before my vending days.
mainor5251
My Sam's still have plenty also, I have to get more this week. Also need Runts hope they have them.
Hillbilly
Out of the 2 Sams I went to. They had Gumballs,MM,PMM.Fireballs. In addition, 1 Sams had RP's and Hot Tamales. No Skittle, No Runts, No Mike & Ike's. Terrible. They are probably sitting on a gold mine with all the vendors out there.

mainor5251
When I go tomorrow I'm gonna take time to write down what they have in stock and prices. So I have a better idea as to what I can get my hands on immediately.
agrantha
All SAM’s clubs do not carry the same merchandise. They operate independently. There are two Sam’s clubs and only one carries Mike & Ikes. So I have to drive out of my way to get them.
markvend
All of my Sams Clubs are still carrying them, but of all the bulk candies, Skittles seems to be THE one they run out of more than any other. Never hurts to chew on a little "rear" if you can find a manager. Thanks, Mark
antoniocinisi
did they have them before?maybe they ran out?did you ask a "coach" while there?
Rick Falcon
You could try Target or Walmart.
jamesjmcgough
When we are back in the US, we check out Walgreen's, Rite-Aid, etc. for their promotions. When we compared the largest packages they sold during promotions, the cost per pound was less than bulk. We regularly smuggle in Runts, M&M's and Skittles in our checked bags. Although we do have to be careful where we place them. Humidity and heat do a number on Skittles.
The Mage
Sorry to bump a 10 day old thread. (I'm way behind here.) But I have found that when my Sam's Club ran out of Skittles that they quit listing it on their web page until it is back in stock. I haven't seen anything else run out, but assume this may be the same with all their products. Currently my goal is to have about 3 service cycles worth of candy in a machine after I service it. Then if I can't get a certain type of candy, I can let it lapse one time, and catch up the next time out. Also if I have to miss a location for some reason, it won't matter putting it off until the next service cycle. I only have one location where my sales are enough that this might be a problem. Dixienormas2
Do you guys not have candy stores in your neck of the woods? Stores like Candyopolis in the malls that sell loose candy i.e. runts and hot tamales by the pound? I have a friend that has a couple machines here in town and he buys the yellow banana runts from our candy store and he seems to do very well. Just a thought......as I have said before I know virtually nothing about bulk.....So don't take me out back and shoot me.
