Hillbilly
Antonio mentioned in another thread that he buys NW machines and keeps the money in IL. So naturally that means jobs stay in that state. Just wondering how many people purchase things just because it is made in your state of residence? Would you be willing to purchase locally if it meant a higher price? Is price the only factor? What about integrity of a company? Or one that supports a cause you support yourself? (Interstate Batteries and Chic Filet for example) I'd do a poll but don't know how. As for me, I buy a lot of groceries from local people, but that is about it.
Faith Vending
We try to buy Michigan made, Michigan grown etc. We have been in recession for 5 years; depression for 2 so we are ahead of everyone :'( We get no help from the politician's except higher taxes, more regulations and oh yeah the real great vision by the Governor "meatless day". Someone shoot me now.

antoniocinisi
as you already know I do that, just not only with vending machines.I go to the farmers market to buy veggies,my prefered method of keeping the money in Illinois since it stays close in my own county.I buy what I can in my county even if sometimes it means paying a little more unless the differance is significant I also go to stores that have my machines in them before going anywhere else, but you all do that too right? JEREMYTINA
With China's expanding middle class, supporting manufacturing here makes sense again. They will no longer be able to offer living wages for manufacturing jobs over there in another 20 years and keep costs down enough to make it worthwhile to buy the product and ship it efficiently here. So, manufacturing may be able to come back to the United States at that point because we will all be dirt floor poor again... Just my two cents. Hillbilly...I thought all you Virginians hunted and killed all your own critters. Grandpa teaching you how to live off the land and all that... Kidding by the way.. joebob051977
I buy the products that suit my business best and make the most sense for my business' well-being without much regard for where they are manufactured. I live in Illinois, but have chosen to use Oak instead of NW because it suits my business plan better. If Northwestern offered a globe which was similar in size to the Oak 300 I would probably buy from NW.
Hillbilly
Jeremy) Nope. I don't hunt and I don't fish. I know, kind of odd for someone from West Virginia.
