Iolaus
The SPCA was my first choice of charity to support, but they rejected me. I was told they turned me down because of liability concerns. At first I thought, "Hey, you have pit bulls, don't talk to me about liability". I could have replied and explained that I assume all liability and they should have no fear, but since they didn't really want the free money I was offering I decided to look elsewhere. While reading older posts, someone mentioned that they had some machines supporting their local Ronald McDonald house. I thought that as a strategic business move, I can't go wrong partnering with Ronald McDonald. I did some research and learned there is a local chapter, and all the money they raise stays here in my community. So I contacted my local Ronald McDonald House Charity and had a meeting with them today. They are extremely enthusiastic about working with me, provided me with all sorts of literature to hand out to locations, are drafting a letter I can present to business owners stating that I'm a partner with RMHC, and are designing a sticker for me to print. If I give them a list of the locations in which I have machines when I make my monthly donation, they'll send each location a thank-you letter also. In addition to that, I am most likely going to be able to place a machine in the Ronald McDonald House. They have a bulk machine in there now with a self-vend plastic ball/dice sort of mix, but that money goes to another charity. Upon approval from the Executive Director, I'll be able to get a space for my machine support RMHC. Thanks to VENDiscuss, things are coming together for me and I'll have my first batch of machines on the street soon. The only thing I'm waiting for now is my business license to arrive. Iolaus
RMHC sent me two designs for machine labels today. I think they both look good and can't decide which I like better so I pose the question to anyone who'd like to share their opinion, which design do you like better? Hillbilly
Nice job. I'd say that's one charity that will get you some business.
joebob051977
Personally, I like the first sticker, the one with the child. It seems much more personal.

lurtsman
Given that it's RMHC I'd see ask them what they can do about placing you locally in McD, since many of the McD have coin donation boxes. It's a long shot, but if you got it you could afford to quit your day job.
Iolaus
Lurts, that thought is definitely in my mind. I want to work with them for a few months so they can see I'm honest, professional, and reliable. I read your post this morning before I went to work and have been daydreaming most of the day about having a nice red and yellow double selling gumballs and superballs in all the McD's here in the city. JEREMYTINA
Absolutely the first version. Maybe you should suggest they recommend this to their national charter. Anything with to do with RMH would have instant name recognition with everyone who owns any device capable of receiving an advertisement.
