I think this is a good idea for a new thread and hopefully everyone will contribute.

Last nite my wife rented Chuck and Larry since we both like comedy.it was an ok movie not great but made me laugh.I would give it a 6.5/10.

in short it is about 2 firefighters that end up getting married as a part of an insurance scam to keep thier pension.

I dont like sandler a lot but paired up with kevin james he is more bearable.

tonite I might rent spider man 3.I will let you know how that is,in the mean time please tell us about your movie viewing experiance on what you have seen.tell us whats good so we can rent/go watch it at the movies, or whats bad so we can stay away.

Beowulf was horrible. If you must see it, make sure to pay the extra $2.50 and see it in 3D. The special effects and 3D were excellent but the movie is most suited to 13 year old boys. Angelina Jolie did look fab though.

Saw this movie at an Imax in 3D.  Though it wasn't the best movie that I've ever viewed, there was a certain mythical story line to it that I thought worked.

I wouldn't call it horrible, but certainly not Oscar quality.  It was a completey rendered movie afterall.

Well, I did give props to the special effects, 3D imagery and Angelina Jolie. And really, does anyone really need to see Anthony Hopkins butt? Or the boobs swinging back and forth in 3D while the barmaid washed the table? Pretty lowbrow stuff. Although now that I'm writing this, I can totally see a market for 3D porn. No doubt about it, I am a tough reviewer.

I want to see Before The Devil Knows Your Dead with Philip Seymour Hoffman, he is brilliant. Anyone out there seen this movie yet?

The GF and I saw "Enchanted" the week before we hit the Imax.  So goofily cute it nearly made me sick.

I will say that Amy Adams as Giselle was HOT!  Although I liked her mousy charactor in Talladega Nights...

Sweeny Todd = 4/10  Stupid movie I agreed to watch.  It's a musical, 'nuff said.

Cloverfield = 8/10  Godzilla in the USA.  A very cool movie, but the ending could have been a lot better.

I went to my local RedBox this afternoon. I will be watching Black Snake Moan this evening. Any reviews?

And yes, I am a RedBox junkie now. Ever since the RedBox thread on the board, I've watched more movies than ever.

I love/hate going to the movies.

I really enjoy the experience, except that, especially recently, there is always somebody who thinks they have to talk during the movie.  It is getting to the point that I am going to start bringing a gun, and bail with me.

We never see a movie the first week it is out, waiting for the crowds to die down, and often on an early day in the week.  Anything to avoid the annoying crowds.

Anyway, Spderman III.  Topher Grace as Venom?  Seriously?  It is annoying enough dealing with the piss poor acting of Tobey Maguire, and his whiny voice.

I like Topher Grace, but he was seriously miscast in this film.  And sorry if anyone disagrees, but Tobey Maguire was not a good choice at all for Spidey.  (But he's coming back for #4.)

Now I think the Batman movies have been well done.  A little more thought and effort went into these movies, and characters.

Sometimes when watching a movie, I swear that they are using one of the Mad Libs scripts that I am convinced exists.  The technology is so good today that they don't need to actually hire real writers any more.

My plan is to see movies at home more often, and in the theater less often.  If we watch 29 movies at home that we would have seen in the theater, we will have paid for our HDTV and Blu-Ray player.

We use RedBox exclusively now. at a buck a night, it's cheap, and convenient. Registering is a breeze online and a time saver when you go to pick up your movie. We browse the inventory at home and reserve a copy. We have until 9pm to pick it up. When we get to the RedBox, we simply swipe our card and our movie pops out. It literally takes less than 10 seconds to pickup a movie.

I wish everyone reserved online. Sometimes I have to wait in line 10-15 minutes for the person in front of me to decide and purchase. When its my turn I walk up and leave in 10 seconds. The people behind me in line ALWAYS ask how I got my movie so quickly! I tell them to reserve online!

I don't watch many movies via rental or the movie theater.

When I do get in the mood for a movie, I watch something on cable tv (something on the tv schedule not pay-on-demand).

I can't remember the last time I paid to watch a movie...other than paying my cable bill.

I thought about the red-box thing, but that 10-15min wait line is what turned me off.

I've been to the grocery store and come out after MORE than 15min and it's the SAME guy/gal using the machine that was there when I went in. Crazy.
