agrantha
Hello Vending Nation As most of you know, I am new to vending and wandering when and if I should get business cards. And could all who have business cards show what theirs look like? Anton

joebob051977
Yes. I think they are good when you go out locating so you look professional. I also tape a business card on the back of my machines so that if they run empty (I never let that happen) or break, someone can look on the machine and call me. I like 123 Print for business cards http://123print.com

bostonvendor27
Business cards are a great Idea! You really want all the contact info you can give them on the card. I like the card to make a positive impression right off the bat. Sometimes you only get one shot at a deal. Also you want it to be memorable in case something does come up later. Your logo is going to accomplish the memorable impression. Keep the rest direct and on point NAME and title (i.e. president, owner, CEO) PHONE# email address web site mission statement or tag line.keep it neat but do mention the charity if possible. I hope this helps.
agrantha
Thanks all I have one more question. When does copyright laws become an issue when creating business cards? I would hate to squeeze my brain to create a business card like Cool Bean's and have the bomb dropped on me by someone with full copyrights. agrantha
Should I start out with a simple name and later create a more sophisticated name?

bostonvendor27
Well I created my own logo and I own my name . I am not A good person to talk to about legal stuff but you should check to see if the name you choose is available in your state.
joebob051977
Bostonvendor27 is absolutely right here. If you do business by any other name other than your own, you are required to get an assumed name. This was done at the county clerks office in my cas, and I don't see it being much different anywhere else. Normally, the assumed name is cheap from the government. What is killer is the $100 the newspaper charges for you to put your assumed name notice in the paper for so long. I wouldn't worry about a business name too much. I can't think of too many people who know the name of the vending company that comes out to their business. They might know the full line vending company, but not the bulk vendor's company.
