whaletail116
I've had a machine of mine get vandalized lately and the top lock of a 1 800 triple-head machine is completely busted. I can't turn the thing at all with the old key. Anyways, the new lock has arrived and I was curious if anyone has any suggestions on how to remove to old one before I dive in with my bare hands? Any help is always appreciated, thanks!
Hillbilly
Hey Whale. If they are regular locks I drilled one out a few weeks ago. I drilled down with a 1/8" bit and then a 1/4' one. You just want to make sure if there is a barrel that you don't get into it with the bit. Once you get the tumblers out it should come right out. will.vend
if it's not a cam lock style you can take a flat blade screwdriver and hammer it into lock then twist with vise grips
Faith Vending
Unlock the cash box and remove cash box; you will see a plate with 4 screws on it holding down the center post. I don't know what the screwdriver is called but you have a phillips pointing up and a flat head pointing down (or vice versa) about 4" long. Home depot has for $2. Unscrew all four screws and lift up the post assembly and this should allow you to unscrew the lock. Beats drilling.
