lisa vending group
just a thought, but what i am doing is peel of the wrapping off the can, then bring it to staples to reduce the image to the size i want,at the same time i am doing all that fit on letter size paper to cut costs and have all sizes to my 3 different tri heads...good luck
jamesjmcgough
Be prepared to replace every metal part that comes into contact with salted nuts. Against advice on this forumn, we tried the nuts and I will never live this decision down. Made a total mess and absolutely no profit what-so-ever. There are easier ways to collect quarters. agrantha
Thank you all for your help James I read the thread. I have Vendstar 3000s...all plastic. Does the salt and/or peanuts destroy plastic? Thanks again
agrantha
Islander My peanuts are not dry roasted. They are plain roasted peanuts with sea salt. Thank You
vend777
I can't speak to this from personal experience, but someone with a long history in the vending business told me that all nuts will get wormy over a long enough period of time. It would be measured in months, but they will all get their if they sit long enough with out moving.
Quarter Master
Here's another one without the word "dry". This is about the best I can do for you.
agrantha
Thanks Islander Vend777 The location where the peanuts are going is a machine fabrication shop. This is a location with 50 employees and is my best customer. On my last stop the Mike & Ikes were empty. The peanut M&MS were about half full. But the Skittles were 3/4 full. I talked to some of the employees. This is a blue collar group, so I believe peanuts will sell like crazy! I am going to give it a try anyway. I figure if I have the energy for this business I should give it a try. If after one month it does not sell then I will take it out and replace it with Reeses Pieces or plain M&M's. One of their employees told me I should put some (BBB's) Boston Baked Beans in there. I checked prices for BBB's and they are outrageous. If you know a place where BBB’s are reasonably priced then let me know. I figure as long as the peanuts do not destroy my machine, I will give them a try. Cleaning a machine is never a problem for me. But, a damaged machine must be repaired or replaced.
jamesjmcgough
No problems with the plastic parts. If they sell fast enough, it should be worth your while. I am not famiiliar with the machine you are using but if it has a steel center rod, you may want to watch that. Machines are dirt cheap. Parts are expensive but if you can obtain a payoff plus decent profit (ROI) on a unit before it is trashed....why not go for it? For us, they did not sell that well. Matter of fact, the only machines we have ever had stolen were the original 'experimental machines' we placed in a bar to try our nuts.
JPVendCo.
nuts will discolor the clear plastic very badly on the vendstar canisters. I have almost completely phased out peanuts and cashews from my machines. i only left them in the machines that were selling alot of them, which only ended up being 3 machines (out of 20 that had nuts)
