Hillbilly
Boy, I've seen some things that make you say "Huh" but this one takes the cake. Here in WV we pay 3% tax on food items unless it is prepared, including vending items. When I paid my consumer sales tax today I found out it is at 6%. Anthing sold whether goods or services through a coin operated machine is 6%. That's a double whammy. So I paid 3% when I bought it and now 6%. Only here. Iolaus
That's just perfect, eh? Can you not get a re-seller certificate to at least buy with no tax?
Hillbilly
Yeah I just got it thanks to a buddy on here.
joebob051977
Check your laws. If you pay sales tax on your goods sold, then you are probably exempt from sales tax for the candy you buy. We are taxed for individual items sold for anything over 50 cents in a vending machine here in Illinois. We pay the sales tax when we buy our bulk candy.
