havending
It might not seem like a big deal but it will affect how well you get locations and how long you keep them. I have seen some guys servicing their machines in torn jeans and white tee shirts and have seen some in shiny dress shoes. Over kill in both cases lol. Also what do you service in. It would seem to me that you would look more like a pro in the right type of service car. For me its Blue or kaki shorts in the summer and pants in the winter. And My logo on very nice polo type shirts. When they start to fade i toss them. Service van in a Sprinter cargo van white again with company name and logo. And have it washed 2 to 3 times a week. The open road is full of bugs.
Hillbilly
Khakis and polo shirt for me as well. But I'd wear a suit if that is what it took. People like to deal with successful looking people. A good cutomer of mine gave me this advice many years ago. And I've been selling for 26 years. " Always dress a class above yourself."
joebob051977
When I service my route, I usually wear khaki's and a nice polo shirt. Every once in a while I will wear a nice pair of jeans. I would love to get a nice polo with my logo on it, but I don't have a logo nor do I have the money for one. Locating is a different story. I will usually wear a tie and sometimes a suit. The way I see it, I want to be taken seriously and make a great first impression.
jmac
Maybe thats why I have a hard time locating, I need to dress up a bit. I Never wore torn or dirty clothing. But I'm always dressed casual, skate shoes, jeans and a t shirt or hoodie. Same goes for servicing.
caserri
I wear my usual cut-off overalls, bare foot with no shirt. Just kidding! I have the prerequisite company logo emblazoned polo and khaki's when locating and a company T-shirt with clean, dark jeans while servicing. timberframe50
If I'm locating or service after my full time gig, I wear a white shirt and dress slacks. Now if I'm slacking from the full time and just servicing it's jeans and a polo.
candyman007
Way back when I started my route I went out in a full black suit in the 100 degree Florida heat. I even serviced in suit. Regards, Rob

Iolaus
Polo shirt with company name. Khaki slacks to go with it if I'm locating. Khaki or nice denim shorts if I'm servicing the route.
JPVendCo.
maybe I am too laid back, but I generally just where clean, nice looking jeans, maybe a polo, or a nice plain colored T-shirt. Some times I wear a Louisville cardinals shirt, as my service area is full of cards fans. I look neat and presentable, but casual and comfortable. I feel that people relate to me better this way. mainor5251
Jeans and a black button up the front shirt for locating and servicing. Need to get company name embroidered on shirt. Might switch to a black polo and khaki shorts for summer though.

Hillbilly
Agape, I just want to satisfy my curiosity so I have 3 questions. 1) When you take your son, does he ask you for quarters to put in the machines? 2) If yes, do you give him some? 3) Does he put them in other machines? Agapevending
No hillbilly He just says he wants Candy and knows it's free for him. Some time he will put the money in the bag. When I would take my daughter she would do the same. All of my locations only have one machine mine. I don't place a machine if there is already one there. from what i have seen if you have two many in one spot . you tend to lose money and get bumped out,
Bocephus
Did you place your machines with your son with you? All of my machines are placed in blue collar places. No way I will service them in anything but a t-shirt and jeans or shorts. One is in my gym. I do not think they will mind if I service it in my workout gear.
