Mixing products

Saw a machine on a rack today filled with a mix of Sea Mania and 32mm bounce-balls.

Haven't tried this myself, but I'm now considering it in order to try those products normally out of my price range.

It's cheaper than upgrading mechs from 25cents to 50cents just for the sake of carrying the more expensive stuff.

The only product I've mixed is "fancy" mix and "regular" mix bouncy balls.

The vendor with the mix above had a nice label for Sea Mania.

In a lower corner of the same label it read something like, "And bounce balls too!".

It was tastefully done and didn't seem like a rip-off at all.

The mix was at least 50% Mania, too.

Anyone mixing products to lower COG's when selling expensive items?

What are you mixing and how's that working for you?

I'm doing a mix of zoo mania & jungle mania, I was running low on both so I decided to put them together, both on there own sold real well but can't get anymore right now. As they are sold out.

Yup.

Called Brand earlier this week.

Was told July was likely when Mania products would be available again.

I was not a big fan of Mania products because my Zoo Mania wasn't moving.

Then I found 2 locations where I'm just blowing them out like crazy.

Funny, but NOW I wish I'd bought more when I last ordered.

Especially since I'm thinking of doing this "mix-thing" I saw today.

If you have a product that blows out. I certaintly would not do a mix. Since they will just move on to find a location that has all "mania" especially when in July vendors can put in their locations on the squishyland.com website game. I do a mix to get rid of non moving stuff. I add some really good stuff in there to get it to move. For example I just put some 2" mania in a mix. Just a few and that head emptied, but I had no other mania at that location and it was the 2" it is not prevalent now like the 1" is.

I will be ordering my next batch of product from Brand in the following month. I had one delivered in hte last two weeks (ordered in Feb), and another I ordered in March I'm still waiting on. It takes some real talent to forecast the product levels so many months in advance.
