sherlock
Anyone see any difference in sales between the 27mm and 32mm bounce balls? The 27mm is cheaper, of course. But, the larger sized 32mm are probably more attractive to little customers. I've only been using 32mm and am considering using 27. My machines can accommodate both. But, I don't want to sacrifice sales. Would like some feedback before making the change.
BluePlate
I think margins on BB is getting harder and harder. But to answer your question... A&A has some specialty balls (SpiderMan) that are actually a mix of 27 and 32. I sprinkle them throughout my machines to keep the attraction. I have used the sponge bob and the spiderman and did not see and more in the cash box. I have gone to .50 on all my 27mm balls sales only diped a few bucks but the profit shot up. The price of balls are fine but the freight is what kills you. The best way to order them in by the pallet or with alot of other product.
Quarter Master
Well Sherlock, I don't know about you, but I'm trying to run a proffitable business here by keeping my COGS down as best I can. I really doubt that any kid has micrometer eyes to see the difference between the 27mm and 32mm ball. There are alot of different kinds of 27mm product out there if you go looking at other places than the traditional vending suppliers. Sometimes I make my own mix and still sell a ton of BB. Thanks Islander. I AM leaning heavy towards switching to the 27mm. The shipping is killing me on the 32mm. Shipping is rough on the 27, I'm sure. But, at least I'll get more product for the cost.
