lisa vending group
was hoping someone could suggest which is better.i have 8 locs that i pay 20% comm.and counting coins on a bar takes too long i average about $100.00 to $120.00 ea. is there one made for just quarters? thanks for your help
wevend
Yes it is very hard counting money on location. We take all money back to our office, count it there and send out a check. Also if you use a small bank or credit union most do not charge you for coin.
BluePlate
I would reccomend using a scale. You can get an accucount scale that does the conversions for you or just get a cheap postal scale off of eBay. 1 LB of quarters is $20. Their is a wieght chart in the members tools section that I posted some time back.....
sherlock
This thread should probably be moved out of the 'welcome' board. But nonetheless... I just ordered an Acucount model B101 scale yesterday. Hope to have it next week. This scale is recommended by others on this forum. I also have a friend who has been using this same make/model for a couple years and he highly recommended it to me. There is an old thread here: http://vendiscuss.com/forum/index.php?topic=1022.0 Wherein Andrew with Acucount was providing 10% discounts to Vendiscuss members a couple of years ago. When I spoke to him yesterday he confirmed that HE IS STILL HONORING THAT DISCOUNT. Andrew also took the time to ask me about my needs to make sure I was ordering the right scale. He was honest enough to recommend the lower cost model when I asked about a more expensive one. The shipping is cheaper through him than through some other sites offering the same make/model, too. Here's the acucount site: http://www.acucount.com/

T BIRD
Sherlock is on the mark with his recommendation. It is an excellent scale. I have had mine for about a year now. It has never lost its calibration accuracy. It weighs up to $200 accurately at a time. And mine gets bounced around abit between me and my worker using it. The one thing I do recommend is spending $20-$25 at Staples and buying a soft carry case for it. I bought one with 2 handles on top and a couple of pockets for receipt book, pens, and calculator. sherlock
Nice suggestion T-bird. I'll have to look into that. Do you mind providing a link to the case you bought?

T BIRD
Nice suggestion T-bird. I'll have to look into that. Do you mind providing a link to the case you bought? I dont have a link Sherlock. I just went into a local Staples and looked at their computer, book, and notebook bags for one that would fit nicely.
