Does anyone know how this will work with the mania products having a code in/on them? Do you think there will only be a couple per 250 bag with a code? Just wondering how this will work because I know it will boost sales ALOT. I pre ordered 5 bags but I am gonna order more cause I am almost out :)

It is not going to hurt sales. If the game is good and the kids play it like club penguin, then you better order cases and cases of mania not just five bags. It is my understanding that all capsules will have a code. I suspect that the majority will be the same and to get into the really cool places of the game there will be "rare" codes just like "rare" mania capsules.

I think that this will be a good item to vend.  Just dont put all your eggs in one basket.  I would NOT order cases and cases lol.  Any word on prices changes to carry the cost of the web site or is brand paying for is with the money they make by jacking up freight cost.

NO word on cost as far as I've been able to find.

I also wondered about that and tried to find some pricing --- but, nothing.

There's a small blurp about the new Mania w/codes in the latest vending times, but no mention of price.

Considering Brand is adding the codes into the caps via notes like you would find in a fortune cookie, there HAS to be some added production cost to them.

I would be very surprised if that cost isn't passed onto the vendors.

Here are some interesting quotes from the article Sherlock mentioned. The full article is posted on our Facebook page.

The key difference between traditionally distributed products and Sqwishland is the price point and its broad distribution, the Brand executive explained. "Whereas most ‘Web-enriched' toys sell for $15 or more, a Sqwishland collectible retails for just 50¢," he said. "This makes it incredibly affordable to create collections, and provides kids with access to feature-rich gaming and social content for a fraction of the price of other Web-enabled alternatives."

To help fund the Squishland project, which began a year ago, Brand partnered with a New York City game developer, which is said to have its own successful game. A separate company was formed in the Philippines to leverage an inexpensive but talented labor pool. Brand's own design studio, Desert Sky Graphics, is also involved in the project.

When I went by Brand a couple of weeks ago and talked to them about it - the price is 19.75 per 250 caps or 19.00 per bag for quanity break, but that was the lowest cost per bag. As far as I know there is no additional costs

Awesome,, when I ordered mine a couple weeks ago they did not mention price change  but I never asked either she just said  $19.75 a bag. I think it will be great and I think kids would pay .50 for them easily.

If the site is fun and there are different codes for each animal it will do good and help sales ALOT. I think I should get some .50 coin mechs for my 1800 is I there is a such thing. I know kids would pay .50 or more for them.  I got 10 bags on the way thats all I could afford for now.

There are. I have some. I am not selling them. It may be worth looking into for you. My ROI has been excellent.

DId anyone else sign up for beta testing? I think kids will really like it especially for the small price they will pay. I see they are gonna have memberships also so kids will have to pay more to get to some items. Kinda like webkinz starting doing. Altogether I would say its pretty sweet.

Im not impressed at all with the squashland site. I see that they are selling memberships to the site.  So i guess the free code doesnt unlock the entire land.  Brand always finds ways to add cost.

I do like the machine finder this will be a GREAT locating tool.  ;D

I'm a little confused... the toys with the code to go play online are being sold by brand or by this coolzips company?? Does anyone have a link to where you can buy them... I am looking on brand's website but I don't see any mention of the internet codes.

Yea, that delivery date just keeps moving back.  Back in April, I was told early June, then is was mid June, late June and now July!  I did receive some stuff, but it was too late for this cycle.  It seems like stuff gets shipped piece meal "when we can get to it".  I had a feeling that this was going to happen.  So I am glad that I found some squishy alternatives from SSM, Actionmatic, Cardinal and All Star.  Brand may have actually done me a favor, since this new mega animal mix is moving pretty well and is a bit cheaper.  Let Brand know that competition is on the rise and there are some new squishies in town!
