caserri
I am happy to announce that we have upgraded the profile system here at VENDiscuss. If you click on your profile, or anyones profile, you will now see the new system. Here is a summary of the new profile system... Features: - About Me, Interests & Media box - Organizable buddy list - Approval of buddies - Profile pictures - Profile comments - Picture comments - Customizable look & feel The ultimate profile will allow you to customize your profile just like on other social networks like MySpace, Facebook, Tagged, etc. You can choose whether you want to have this customized profile or just the plain, ordinary one. You can enter About me & My Interests texts which can be formatted using BB code. Also, you can input HTML & CSS code in a special text area and customize look of your profile. You can add a background picture, change font, size and color of text as well as other elements. The ultimate profile also allows you to upload your own pictures which are then showed in your profile and can be organized in albums. Other users can post comments on your profile or pictures. You can disable comments for your profiles or restrict new comments only to your buddies. Pictures can be shown to all users or only to buddies. To customize your profile, click on "profile" then click on "Ultimate profile" from the menu on the bottom.
caserri
I've added some pics and other things to fill out my own profile. Check it out! To add pics and albums, click on the "Profile Pictures" heading in the top right of your profile page. Then select either "Add Picture" or you can click on the icon to add an album. Hillbilly
Would it be possible to add a column in the member's name section and list if we have a regular profile or ultimate?
caserri
Is anyone "not" seeing the "Add to buddy list" link in another members profile? I have attached a pic of what this link looks like in a members profile. It will be located on the left in the "Contact Me" area. Some members are not seeing this link and I'm trying to find the common denominator.

SCRATCH THIS POST -- I JUST FOUND IT I hadn't realized I needed to be in someone's profile who actually had the "ultimate profile" set-up. Seems some members have just the old format profile -- and THEY don't have the "add to buddy list option"

Seems some members have just the old format profile -- and THEY don't have the "add to buddy list option" That's weird. Everyone is set to the ultimate profile by default. Can you give me a member or two who has the old profile?
sherlock
Yes, G-MAN422. He's on this thread -- third post. Earlier I just clicked on his since he was on this thread and found he had the old profile and no "add buddy" option. Could it be a "moderator" thing? caserri
Ahh, I see. There is an option in the "Ultimate Profile" features, (see attachment) that will only show your UP to your buddies. If you have that checked and you have no buddies, everyone will see your old profile. I think Gabe had that checked by mistake. Try it now and you should see it. If there are any member profiles that you see the old profile, it means that they have that option checked.
sherlock
Yup. It's working. Just clicked his Profile and got the UP view and "Add Buddy" option.
