Hillbilly
I got an approval phone call today from a franchise owner of a Tudor's Breakfast World. He told me that when I was ready for his location to get the equipment and get it installed. I've had several meetings with him and was really glad to hear from him. There is a five way in there now but it almost always has out of order signs on 1 or 2 machines. I want to do stickers also. Should I start with a 5 way or go for the 7? mainor5251
I don't have any rack experience but I like the idea of of a 5 way, one 2" toy machine and a 2 col. sticker machine on top (like the uniformity when sticker machine is same dimension as 2" toy machine) then 3 on bottom with 1" BB's, 1" GB's and one candy selection. I'm sure the rack master Havending could give you better advice on this though. I would like to experiment with this setup and see how the bottom does at .50 ( might have to do 32mm BB's and maybe Nerd GB's)and then the top two at .75. Hillbilly
Yeah I will probably do the higher price points so I can net a little more. You think the candy would do better than a 1" toy or mix?

You think the candy would do better than a 1" toy or mix?In reality probably not just hate the idea of losing potential adult customers cause they don't want a toy or a GB. And yes I know that adults buy the toys too, I've seen it, too bad it wasn't my machine. Probably be safe bet with zoo and sea mania and 1 of these 3 mustaches, sticky hands, or monkin around for .50 on bottom.
JEREMYTINA
That's awesome Hillbilly! Congrats on the rack.
sherlock
Congrats on the location. Other than gumballs...no candy on racks for me. Let's see what those with LOTS of racks recommend. I have a few racks and I don't do candy in any of them. Candy may do well in racks, but it's just easier to have gumballs, toys, and flat vends IMO. lurtsman
In a dream world, your set up looks like this: Top row: 2 column sticker machine (50 cents) One sticker for teens, one for boys 2 inch machine (75 cents) A 2 inch product priced for 50 cents that sells well at 75 (there are a few) Bottom row: (all 50 cents) 2 one inch machines, 1 GB machine Toys in the one inch machines, pick things that are hot in your area GB:nerds If you are buying brand new equipment--you can control exactly what goes on there. I tend to buy used, or new second hand, so I have less control over what machines I will have access to--especially until I get my garage cleaned out and have more space to work with inventory
antoniocinisi
I would defiantely do 75 cent 2 inch, and if you can swing it 50 cent 1 inch, minus bouncy balls and gumballs.in 5 WAY i WOULD DO 1 TOY 1 GUM 1 BOUNCY BAll FOR MAx profit.pardon my caps.2 toys and 1 gumball is another combo you could go with for 1 inch.always try to have a head w gumballs.if you have to have another candy try skittles or something hard like bonz/runts
lurtsman
bouncy ball vs 2nd 50 cent toy depends on markets--around here the BB don't sell well at all.
havending
Hillbilly, I took a look at the site to see what type of business it is and looks to me that they would have plenty of business for a 7 way. For stickers i would do a seperate four way sticker machine. Have you done stickers before? if not i would hold off on them for the moment and wait to see what type of product sells best because flat vending is very trendy and its easy to get stuck with a bunch of them. Do gum and toys on bottom all toys on bottom at .50 but use .25 toys top .75 with .50 product. Now for my best free advice lol. Im 90% sure that this is the same compant as Ginos Pizza and less than a year ago there were looking for a vendor that could handle all the locations so go see about that. Hillbilly
havending: Yes this is the same company but this is a franchised location. I know this owner personally. They open at 5AM and close at 3PM. So no evening crowd. A lot of kids after school though and on weekends. No I have not done stickers yet. Hillbilly
I've stopped in several of their locations and they have a lot of machines broken down with out of order signs on them.
Iolaus
Congrats, Hillbilly. I know nothing about toys, but you might want to consider the Mania toys because of the whole Sqwishland MMORPG thingy that Brand is releasing in a couple months. In my mind this equation HAS to be correct (kids+toys+video games)*vending=PROFIT!
