How OLD is my Dixie Narco

Hello All... Here is some useful information I found on the web while researching Dixie Narco soda machines.  This may be beneficial in determining the age of older machines.

The age of Dixie-Narco products is determined by the date code incorporated in the serial number.

The vendor serial number takes the form xxxx-yyyyzz. The first 4 digits (xxxx) identify the specific vendor. The next 4 digits (yyyy) identify the manufacturing run that the vendor was built in. The last two alpha characters (zz) identify the quarter and the year the vendor was built.

The first alpha character identifies the quarter:

A = 1st quarter

B = 2nd quarter

C = 3rd quarter

D = 4th quarter

The second alpha character indentifies the year:

Q = 1992

R = 1993

S = 1994

T = 1995

U = 1996

V = 1997

W = 1998

X = 1999

Y = 2000

Z = 2001

Well, Mine was built in the 3rd quarter, but the year is a "K"

If you go back in years following the same format, K would fall in the year 1986.  Do you have an older machine?

I am unsure how 2002 and newer are reflected in the serial number sequence.

yup sure do!  one of those that has the huge button on top for coke and then 6 smaller buttons.  my avatar is a pic of the front of the machine.
