Newbie from L.A.

Hi everyone,

I'm yet-another-newbie researching the soda and snack end of the vending business. I'm looking to go part-time to supplement my husband's income. I considered buying a vending route this past spring, but ultimately chose to pass on it. Now that my husband's job is being outsourced to India, I'm giving the business a second look.

I need to stay part-time because we have five kids and I homeschool the oldest three. If, by some miracle, my business grows beyond what I'm able to give to it on a part-time basis, I'll re-evaluate my options.

I have all kinds of questions about choosing locations, remote monitoring, and bookkeeping. (I'm teaching myself bookkeeping right now.)

Thanks to the mods for running this site. I hope to learn a lot from it.
