RJT
I wanted to remind the new vendors, people looking at getting into vending and existing companies that the first of the year is good time in the vending industry. It is a GREAT time to try and land some new accounts because it is usually a time when companies are re-looking their current suppliers. It is a time when chances are good you may land some new accounts. The bad is if you are a current vending operator you are vulnerable to fall victim to this situation of people looking at their suppliers. I suggest you monitor your accounts closely and talk with the decision makers to get a feel if they may not be 100% satisfied. Give out some Christmas gifts (cans of cookies, deli plates, doughnuts, cakes, etc) to some of your better accounts and always send a Christmas card and a thank you for doing business with you. Be proactive with your accounts and make sure that they are not looking at a change. Easy thing is to just ask them straight out. Ask them if they have any concerns with vending that you could address for them. I find most vendors go on the rule no news is good news. That is somewhat true but you had better know before it is to late if they are not happy for some reason.
mission vending
I agree, just signed the first location agreement today with an account that will begin to replace what I will lose in Jan when the distribution center closes. Have another with two locations soda and snack at each that I ought to know about by Friday.
