DN368 Iced Over

Recommended Posts

I got to one of my accounts today and when I opened the door I heard the fan hitting ice. I unplugged the machine and came back an hour later and swapped the machine out (Hows that for service :) This was my last non MDB, single price, can machine on my entire route so I didn't want to waste any time or customer satisfaction in messing with it. Now I want to sell the machine off, but thought I would see whats wrong with it first before I put a junk price on it.

I have pictures of the ice, but I can't get them off my phone. The ice was built up along the top of the coils and continued down the very small copper tube.

Thoughts?

It sounds like it would probably be a dirty condensor, machine up against the wall or low on gas. Less probable, the door not closed tight or the fan blade loose on the evap motor.

A picture really helps a lot with the ice stuff though
