Doug Shelburne
Greetings from Massachusetts! I have a gimbal/pinball machine - name listed above. The machine has been in storage for years and we’re trying to get the machine up and running. So far: - new battery pack (old one showed signs of corrosion) - basic cleaning of the coin mechanism - general cleaning of the machine On startup the machine cycles the coin mechanism, drops one ball, and then doesn’t respond. Does not respond to additional coin drops. The unit has a circuit made by either Edina Technical Products or Polytron Corp. two part numbers are listed — #12915 and #2614A. Take a look at the picture for specifics. I’ve checked the circuit board, and do not see evidence of bulging capacitors, corrosion, or anything else that would indicate a failure of the board itself. All wiring going to and from it appears to be in good shape, with no evidence of fraying. we have also taking a look at the coin mechanism, and put a tester on the various relays, which is there, and it appears to be working as it should. I would love suggestions as to where to look next, whether the circuit board itself is the likely culprit, and or where I can get a replacement. thanks in advance…
