  1. Hey John, it's me J.C. The local guy with the vendstars in the paintball places. We talked about 3-way racks to start out with...glad to see you on the forum!

  2. I had some at a karate studio because the sensei wanted a healthy alternative to the candy, well seems like kids will go for the candy 99% of the time. I had to throw out alot of trail mix.
  3. I don't like to look backward too much but, wow, I loved the 80's also! Profits, I've seen your machines on TVF and a sticker like the ones in the video would completely ruin them. I love your blue bulk candy/toy racks just the way they are!
  4. You grew up in the '80's right? LOL I had to search the memory banks for Trapper Keeper! I have certain locations that would warrant machines looking like that in the video, but most locations need professional looking machines.
  5. Hi Montie! Glad to have you here, what part of PA you in? I'm in the Bucks/Montgomery/Lehigh area. Maybe we can meetup sometime if we are close enough!
  6. I probably would have made many more mistakes without all the knowledgeable people here on Vendiscuss, so I would like to take this time to thank Steve for this site and everyone else for their generous contributions. Thank You!
  7. Way too heavy for me, I have an old triple Eagle that looks very similar to the NW without the bottom triple, and it is a pain in the golpher to clean and service before it goes into location. I break a sweat lugging that thing around. Having a heavy machine helps prevent theft but if crooks want that machine they can have it, let them break their backs carrying it! If a Vendstar gets stolen, no big deal, just go out and buy another for $35.
  8. I used to be scared to go into businesses and ask to place machines, now I believe I am helping them or helping my charity so I have a much more confident mindset than when I first started. So, get over all your fears and just go in and ask. The worst they can say is NO! If I approach with commission I tell them they are getting FREE money by letting me utilize a place on their floor with my machine. Don't forget to give the business a fair percentage of gross sales or you will get kicked out. Charity touches peoples' hearts so placing a machine is a little easier but you will get competition from other charity vendors. Hope this helps.
  9. happy birthday...glad to have you in the old over the hill club!
  10. PM&Ms aren't doing so great in my locations....too many going stale and cracking. I'm going to replace them w/ regular M&Ms and see what happens. If that doesn't work I may try chewy Spree! Seriously thinking of switching over to doubles due to product loss.
  11. Thanks lurts, yes the start is pretty hard but the ball is rolling slowly and picking up speed. I find locating is pretty easy, just take one location at a time and if I get a NO then its off to the next location until I get a YES. No problem. I might have found a deal on (9) 1800 machines but will be awhile before I can pay it off and recieve the machines. I like the 1800's because they look decent, are easy to service, reliable, and most of all they are lightweight!
  12. $38.00 is pretty good. As tandh said I would be extremely happy if all my locations did that number. Good luck, and keep finding those $38.00 and better locations!
  13. Whats the national average, $7.00/head? If it is thats ALOT of machines to get $40,000/year! equals approximately 475 heads/158 locations @ $7.00/head
  14. Go to the 3:00 mark yea I know it's a Vendstar! LOL For some reason I love the way this guys' machine looks - kinda hip - and I think the way it is labled would increase sales due to brand recognition and visibility. I just might start labling my machines the same way.
  15. I know I have a ways to go but as it stands I make good money from my existing locations. Enough that it keeps me motivated to find more and more. I have no choice right now than to take bulk vending in baby steps due to a number of things and even if I don't reach the numbers I need to quit my day job I still want to have a nice little supplemental income, which I have right now, and its only going to get better!
