CJvending
Any successful vendor on here only using locators to locate their machines? I know I'm probably going to to get a response from someone that is along the lines of "if you can't locate on your own you should get out of the vending business" but is that really the case? I doubt it is, I suspect that if you use a locator service or services and never locate on your own, that it will take a little extra time to make your biggest profits but it can be done. Anyone care to challenge me on this?
casey259
I'm not huge like some other guys in here but I'm currently at 10 locations all of which locators have found for me. For me it saves me time and is easy for me to go in and drop a machine off and then go on with my day. The downside is that I can't directly target a location my way. I've had very minor issues thus far with the locators or locations and some of them have turned out to be fantastic and some have turned out to be duds. Just like with any location the ones that are bad you just relocate to a better place and keep padding your overall monthly average per head. Hopefully this helps. I doubt it is, I suspect that if you use a locator service or services and never locate on your own, that it will take a little extra time to make your biggest profits but it can be done........... While I'm sure it can be done, relying solely on a locator will require a lot more money, a lot more luck, and a lot more time to succeed. Your growth will move slowly relying only on locators and, every service cycle, you will have far fewer locations to recoup your investment with than if you were locating for yourself. For your cash outlay, using only locators to build your route results in: Fewer locations. Higher start-up costs. Business growth relying entirely on a third party. A business start-up is hard enough. No sense making it tougher on yourself.
