I think most open caps come from shipping I say this because most capping issues I see are ones of long distance or heavy product. My last Top Notch was horiable with open csps and they use Cardinal caps. I will say that the cardinal round 2.3 have few if any issues. I see open caps as part of the business The punch from AA was also bad that's why I say they should have used a 1.3. Any time I get erasers open caps from all suppliers.
