Hi All....
First off... all of the post on here are informative and inspirational... for the most part.
I was walking through a Home Show a few years back when I came across the program. I listened to the pitch and believed that if it sounds too good it can't be true. However, I pressed on and was motivated to get out and make some instant easy money. I lived in Boston at the time and knew that a Dunkin Donuts is every 100 yards, in this city it should be easy. I put down a non refundable deposit and went out looking for a loan. After being unable to secure a loan that I was happy with due to the economic hard times of the country and the banks unwillingness to loan money, even with a cosigner, I was stuck. I gave up on the program and lost money. I then came across an add a year later where I saw that someone had purchased the same program I was interested in. They were looking to sell 4 machines so I contacted them and purchased 4 lightly used machines. They were all kept in the companies business, in working order, a couple had minimal vends on them (20 - 300 vends). He showed me how to use them, how to clean them, showed me that they worked. He also gave ALL of the supplies that I needed to get started. Cups, Lids, Stirrers, Coffee Beans, Chocolate, etc, etc, etc.
Where is my story going you may ask.... shortly after purchasing the machines I was promoted at work to a position where I traveled from DC to NY. I did not have time to place the machines, let alone service them. They sat unused in my house. My career continued to grow and I was offered another promotion. I now live in Maryland. The machines moved with me.
I now have 4 machines sitting in my house with all of the supplies, in a new city where I know nobody. I have no leads and I am struggling to even get this business off the ground. My passion for the business still exist and the philosphy behind it makes perfect sense. I am just stuck.
Question 1. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get this thing up and running successfully in a new area? My new job requires minimal travel but the workload can be heavy... yet iif I could get it off the ground I know that it is not suppose to be too strenuous to maintain.
Question 2. Anyone know anyone that may be interested in purchasing the machines. I started the corporate way throught the home show. I was aware that the machines cost $5500 per, and then you have to pay for all of the "franchising fees". So when I bought the business direct I knew I was getting a deal... if I was able to place them. Since I have not placed them I continue to not make money and they just sit. If I can recoup some of my losses through helping someone build there business it would be better than them just sitting here.
This is the best forum that I have seen for the business and the machines. I figured this would be the best place to start. I know that people post them on ebay all the time for sale but I am not a very experienced Ebay user and I do not feel it is the best way...
Hope to hear from someone. Sorry for the lengthy read. Good Luck to all of those with a business going of their own!
