Smart Giant Win (Small)

This is my brother Nick and sister Elizabeth following their combined triumph over the Smart Industries "Giant" crane. They are leaning on it, so that is to scale. The machine is simply gigantic. This one, along with one other unit can be found at the Wilderness resort hotel in the Wisconsin Dells. As you can see, it has a card reader rather than a coin acceptor, which works like this: You buy a card from the hotel, and load it with money at various kiosks scattered around the arcades and facility, and slide it to play. This machine costs $2.00 per play, and following lengthy observation grants a win about one in ten times. This photo was taken at night, after the line had subsided. I cannot begin to imagine how much money this unit and it's sister machine made that day.
