HUH?

This isn't mine. I was actually checking up on my gumball countertop next store to here, which was empty or close. I am not taking pictures of that one because people are there watching. But what is this u turn looking machine doing in this store? I can't know what to make of it. The top of it looks like one big giant empty canister. Not sure what the deal with this is.
