CheckRaise
Okay folks, losing my mind here. I've searched the forum for a while and can't seem to come across an answer. I've called Seaga and searched on ebay. I've googled every combination of keywords I can think of, read the manual inside out and backwards, and even tried to find the answer through certain Buddhist Higher Learning techniques (okay I made that last part up). Does anyone know if a 50 cent coin mechanism is produced which works in the TV3000? I would love to order about 10 because I want to try some toy capsules in a few of my machines but I absolutely cannot seem to find anyone that carries them. CheckRaise
Did you call Seaga? Yes, they were less than helpful unfortunately.
timberframe50
I don't have one in front of me so I'm going from memory. I believe they a like the rest on the imports. 1 800, T Pico, etc. The wheel may be different, then you swap them. I'll check it out tonight. dperry
Steve used to advocate for seaga back in the olden days, if I remember correctly. But this may be one of the reasons that seaga never tops the list of commercial grade machines.

CheckRaise
Ok, I'm all wet. Forget everything I said. Haha, thanks for trying. Does it look like anything might work with some minor modifications? I'm not a mechanical genius by any means but I should be able to do some minor adjustments if it would make a similar sized coin mech work. The only shred of hope I have so far is that in an old thread buried deep in these forums it was pointed out that Routemaster uses the same parts as the TV3000s (although the coin mechanism is never actually mentioned), however I haven't had any luck in finding parts for those either. dperry
I know that the Pro-Line has 50c mechs. I think they are the same mechs that people use to upgrade their 1-800 machines. Once upon a time, there were a bunch of Buzz Bite machines, and they all had 50c mechs. Those are the same mechs as used in the Pro-Lines. Whether or not they will fit in a seaga is anybody's guess. Find yourself some buzz bite machines, and you might be golden.

CheckRaise
Just in case anyone was wondering I finally found the coin mechanism that these machines use. It's the same on as the NW series 60 and the coin mechs are interchangeable. I eventually went through the mechanism diagrams from all the different manufacturers and then ordered one of these ones and installed it, it works perfectly. I don't know why the Seaga rep I talked to couldn't have given me this information... As an aside, is there any generally accepted preference for the 50 cent mechanisms as far as the "back-to-back" style where both quarters go in the same coin slot or the "side by side" style where there are separate slots for each coin?
