Davis Caroline
(Long time lurker, first time poster...) Question for the board: If you choose the setting that gives the least amount of candy on the Northwestern wheel there is an additional small gap between the plastic wheel and the metal 'spinner' that does not occur on any of the other settings. Has anyone experienced any issues with candy/gum getting stuck in that small gap on the lowest setting of the NW wheel? (Tab gum, skittles, M&M's Plain, etc.) Any other potential concerns or issues? From what I have seen the lowest/smallest setting on the Northwestern wheel will give 12 to 14 Skittles and the next step up will give 15 to 17 Skittles. I think a 12-14 count per 25 cent vend is enough, so I'd like to use this setting. (Food cost would drop from approx. 26% to 22% based on a $6.28 a bag price point for Skittles.) [/quote Yes I have noticed that on my triples. I put duct tape over the metal portion adjuster. That did the trick.
Davis Caroline
Thanks Hillbilly. Anyone use this setting without tape? Issues / results?
