Faith Vending
Does anyone vend toy caps (round and acorn) with the 1800 machine? I have rigged the wheel the best I can, with advise from members here, and I still get mis-vends almost all with the acorn cap and the self vend mix. I heard the Oak Vista gb wheel and brush housing fit the 1800 and they look a little different and maybe sturdier. I just wonder if the holes are bigger to get the acorn cap through? Someone who runs Oaks, how do they vend toys with the acorn cap and a self vend mix? Thanks. Jim
Big Mike
An Oak Vista uses the same wheel for Caps and GB. You just add of remove the riser. I have no idea if a Oak wheel fits in a 1800 but if it does it will vend caps just fine. Mike
mainor5251
I have modified an oak wheel to work. Had to use 1800 brush of course. The stirrer spring is too long and needs the end bent up so it won't rub the side of the canister. And if memory serves correct I had to do a little grinding on the top of the wheel, more specifically the little half triangle looking tabs sticking up. I might order a few wheels and see how they work. If the 3 holes in the wheel are larger that would be a huge plus.
West Coast Vend LLC
The oak wheels do not fit the 800's, Jim. I only use 1800's for brand vending round capsules. They are really not designed to work with acorn caps. You know I have tried everything to make them work! 1800's will always mis-vend caps. timberframe50
I was at LYPC picking up a rack, and had a long conversa(ion about cap whells for the 800's. The reason is that the new molds make it cost prohibitive to make these. They were blowing smoke. But I'm going to continue discussing this everytime I'm there. I don't believe they understand the market for this.
