Postal scale just as accurate as an AcuCount scale or similar?

Shouldn't a digital postal scale be as accurate as a scale designed for coin counting. While it does not have a display that shows actual monetary totals it should show pretty accurate weight total. With quarters weighing 1 lb for every $20 once the final weight is shown it should be fairly easy to calculate the totals with a simple calculator. Postal scales are alot cheaper than the coin scales I see. Just a thought. Lemme hear your opinions.
