Facebook and Twitter logins

There seems to be some confusion about our Facebook and Twitter logins. We are seeing a lot of "new" sign ups through Facebook and after some investigating, I've found that the majority of them are existing members trying to log in using Facebook. I will try to explain the social media logins system here.

When you are logged out of the site, you will see Facebook and Twitter login options. If you are an EXISTING member and would like to use them to log on, you must first be sure to link your TVF account with either Facebook, Twitter, or both. If you try to login using one of these methods without your accounts being linked, the system will not recognize you and it will automatically create a new account for you. Once your accounts are linked however, you can login using them and it is a "one click" login. Simply click either the Facebook or Twitter icon (Which ever is linked) and you will automatically be logged in.

If you are not an existing member and use either of these logon options, all is good. Your TVF account will be created automatically and no further action is required.

To link your accounts, go to your settings and choose either "Manage Facebook" or "Manage Twitter" and complete the appropriate areas to choose the level of association you are comfortable with. There is also an option to disassociate them from your TVF account.

Note that association with either Facebook or Twitter is not required to use the site. It is only required if you try to login using either method.

Any questions, please ask.
