caserri Posted June 13, 2013 Share Posted June 13, 2013 Trying to file an LLC here in Mass. If the filing fee of $500 isn't bad enough, they require you to file an annual report each year. Cost to file the annual report? $500! Looked at filing in Delaware for $75 but found out that I would need to register as a foreign entity here in Mass. Cost to register as a foreign entity? $500! Makes Cents Posted June 13, 2013 Share Posted June 13, 2013 Had similar situation in California which treats foreign LLC as a foreign corporation. They also want an arm & a leg in fees. In my case I wanted to form LLC to protect business assets, my personal assets were protected with a irrevocable trust and QPRT.
