How do you work paying your commissions to businesses

Okay vendors got another interested question

Last month we aquired an account on commission and this month we lost it. The machine one single head made 87.50 in a hotel but we lost the location due to the commission. Both parties agreeed to 20% however I just counted out quarters an wrote them a check for the comission. When i got home the owner felt that the machine made more money on their 20% and felt that i was robbing him of his profit  when i did not. How do you handle your commissions do u count the coins infront of the owner himself/

I usually count the coins in front the owner and pay him/her right then and there.
