dutchboy
I just bought a box of Concord chicle gum from Sam's club.....I noticed that this box had a date stamped on it that said 06/2009. The bag inside is never sealed or anything, so what do you think this means......it gets hard way before that and I usually replace it after about 6 months.....Am I being wasteful with the product and my money? caserri
Dutch, With proper storage, gum is usable for up to 8 months. Notice I said usable. That doesn't mean it wont be hard as a rock and nasty. I think the best clue to decide when to toss old product that is still within its recommended shelf life is to monitor the sales. No need to chuck product if it is still selling. Also, test a piece at every service to ensure the quality is up to par. Steve
