WillisNYC Posted May 25, 2009 Share Posted May 25, 2009 I checked the state website and it doesn't have any requirements that I could find on vending in New Jersey. I also checked the websites for my county and my city. No one has any EASY to find information about licensing requirements if any. I also checked the threads out in this forum and don't see any on NJ. However, this being NJ and they tax and license EVERY damn thing in this state, I expect to find something some time. I would just prefer it not to be AFTER I am up and operating my new business venture here! Anyone know details about New Jersey out there? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
alyssamma Posted May 25, 2009 Share Posted May 25, 2009 Willis, the easiest thing to do is to call your secretary of state for licensing requirements and then the dept. of taxation for the taxes. However, based on this it appears you do not have to worry about sales tax: http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/pdf/pubs/sales/anj16.pdf As for a license, it looks like you need to do some type of registration, but it is not clear if there is a fee.
