BudLeiser
Turbo Tax Tax Cut Quickbooks Other? Are any of these better suited for vendors, and why? Anything to look for, or look out for, with each one? While I am good with computers, I am not so good with forms and paperwork. Yet sometimes "walk through" software can lead down some crazy turns. Is there one that is user friendly for a tax-newb like me, but won't gum up in the process? What about other non-tax purposes? Charts, analysis, graphs, business functions etc. If we get a good discussion going I think this may end up as a sticky thread. Please chime in with your expertise, or gripes. Had any problems with local laws not being taken into account by the software? Did it miss any big deductions? Let loose the hounds of VD.
alyssamma
Bud, QuickBooks is accounting software while TurboTax and TaxCut are tax software. I recommend QB for *any* small business. As for tax software, TT and TC are pretty much equal. I prefer TC, but that is because of the cost. To do business + personal taxes costs me about 1/2 of what TT costs. But both have the same functionality. Kevin
