Coin mechs keep breaking

My brother has some XYZ triples heads. The ratchets on the coin mechs keep breaking. It allows kids to spin it backwards and empty the machines. This has happened on 3 mechs so far. Has anyone else had this problem ?

I don't know from experience but this is common on many of the cheap machines on the market.  There is a plastic pin inside that if someone spins hard enough backwards it breaks and can freely spin backwards and dispense to their hearts content, as you have found out.  Not sure if there are other mechanisms that you can but that will fit your machine.  Hope someone else can help you here with that.

When I did my research I learned this and purchased units that are made to eliminate this problem.  Cheaper doesn't always save you money.  Hope other potential new investors do their research and don't fall prey to the cheap approach that is so freely give around here.

The mech is sprung.What you'll need to do is buy some half inch fender washers from home depot and take off the star wheel on the mech and install the washer and reinstall the star wheel.

If you buy cheap crap that is what you get !  Buy the machines that the major venders use and you will be set. This ain't rocket surgery.
