Used Keymaster for $4,309...worth it?

So I'm trying to get my hands on a keymaster.  I can get a used one for $4,309 and that includes shipping, it's 2.5 years old, has a DBA, and has a 30 day warranty (from a major distributor).

Or I can get a new machine for $6,000 which includes shipping, DBA, all of that.

Which route should I go?  Is the $1,700 in savings worth it?

(I've never owned a keymaster before and have no idea how quickly they wear out, or anything like that...I know for cotton candy there's no way I'd get a used one vs. a new to save only $1,700, but I imagine keymasters don't wear out as quickly?  no idea though)

It's the "skill" version so perfectly legal.

What do you guys think of the price?

There is a lot misinformation out there about being legal. Some states do set prize limits. You should be fine.

The price is high IMO. Dist that resell used are normally high though. I say high because we have the ability to go to the auctions and see them at times for 2 grand or less. Barber cuts less than a grand at times up to 1200

I'd pass. In my area they are only bringing 3000 at auction at most. I know I didn't pay 6k for mine new. I'll have to find the invoices. I'm sure it was right at 5k.

Think of the plays that machine has on it. Mine are way into hundreds of thousands on the meters. Luckily where I'm at we can run ipads beats football tickets etc.

Mine pay out fair. No it's not skill based. Neither is the lottery.

Key Masters are holding up good. Just a few problems here and there. Looks like its replacement, Axe Master, isn't a hit.

Haven't seen any at auction go less than 3k,Maybe a buyback on one that was malfunctioning. I always bid them to about 2500 and haven't won one yet for that. New ones the price had went up at iaapa this week? Didn't understand that at all
