zactho1
Does anyone use selectivend machines, and if so what is their level of quality? I have an opportunity to buy a selectivend triple along with an A & A double head for $90. Pic of the selectivend attached.
parrotthead
I would stay away from the triple vend, if they are in a lot of stuff I buy I usually sell them for around $40. The A&A is ok though

PerformaVending
The Selectivend is a clone of a clone of a clone- a "stock" import machine based on Northwestern wheels and mechs. The good of them is that they're relatively easy to get, all metal so their bodies don't get dinged up like plastic triples might, and relatively attractive so they're easy enough to locate. The downsides are that the mechanical elements; from the wheels, to the mechs, to the locks, are all pretty much junk. They may last a little while, but these import mechs all inevitably jam up and fail, and the locks all seem to stiffen up over time. Now, you "can" upgrade these to use Northwestern coin mechs, and the locks can be swapped out for locks bought at the hardware store, but then that's just more expense, and at that point you're better off just buying the superior Triple Play directly from Northwestern. TL;DR The machines aren't bad, but they're not exactly good either. The A&A machines are either PO89 (Oak Clones) or PN95 (Northwestern Clones) and both are pretty faithful to the machines they're trying to be, so they'll serve you well whichever they may be.
