JT Vending
We have several of the CB500 10 selection Witten machines that we run 16.9oz pop in. One of the older ones (3-4 years old) is not dropping Pepsi bottles. The Coke & 7up products work fine. The bottles will partially drop and the bottom of the bottle will be caught in the rotor and stop the motor. So when we get there the bottle is hanging upside down but hasn't touched the chute yet to activate drop sensor. We have tried swapping selections, we have replaced a motor just to try it. It is set for bottles in the programing. It will do this about every 12 or so vends unless we are there watching it then of course it won't fail. Any help would sure be appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.
AZVendor
There are can deflectors attached to the fronts of the column walls and they may be catching your bottles. You can remove them from only the columns they interfere with by removing the screws and nuts that hold them on. Also, if you have the bottles in the end columns the bottles may not drop far enough to clear the rotors before they turn far enough to catch the bottles - or the bottles may be bouncing instead of sliding. In that case move them to more centered columns where they have more room to fall clear of the rotor.
JT Vending
Middle column in the rear is where Middle column in the rear is where The problem bottles are now.
AZVendor
You could also locate the plastic liner that is included with each machine from the factory, sometimes screwed to the inner door, and insert it in the column on the left wall down in the funnel. This is to help prevent bridging of the bottles by helping the bottles slide down to the rotor. Otherwise you should remove the can deflector I mentioned before or move the bottles to a front column. JT Vending
I did get some of the water bottle shims in from Wittern and installed them on the Pepsi products that were causing problems and so far no jams. It seams odd they have been working for a couple years and now they need shimmed.
AZVendor
The bottlers will slightly changer their bottles or get them from a new source and this can cause issues. It happens with cans too.
