I am the Operations Manager of a mid size vending company in Texas. We currently service Full line vending, Coffee service, Paper products, and Beverage delivery. Our customer base ranges from prisons, hospitals, manufacture and machine shops, and white collar accounts.

We have around a 60/40 split for vending vs. all other parts of our business. We currently are providing service to over 400 accounts in the area and employ 9 full time employees and 2 part time. We have been in business for over 35 years and within the last 5 years have grown substantially. We highly believe in using technology to make our routes work as efficient as possible.

Technologies used:

Remote Monitoring

Credit Card Processing

Prepick most machines

Custom Software for Routes

Vehicles designed for vending

Handhelds for Deliveries

Touch Screen Machines

I have personally been in the business for 10 years now, but I grew up around the office coffee business. I have done everything from warehouse, route, service technician, and being a manager. We are in a booming economy and because of this we have a lot of issues finding qualified drivers to run our routes. Using technology has dropped the learning curve substantially for new employees.

We have also been featured in our local newspaper, national magazines, and a few white papers because of the innovations we use. I personally have set a very high standard for down time on machines and for most cases we are down to 1-3 hours down time. We carry almost all parts for our machines for brands such as Royal, Dixie, Vendo, AP, AMS, and Fastcorp. Our prefered vendors are Royal and AMS because of ease of service and proven longevity.
