TexasFreemason
What do you have to do to get a license for an amusement machine in Texas? How much does it cost?
mjacks
I assume you are talking about state of Texas tags? Look up the Texas comptroller site and do a search for coin operated machines. Should come up with the application and instructions. Business lic is $200 I believe and the tags are $60 each (the cost is prorated though so it will be less now for the rest of the year). You only need them for electronic machines, not candy machines or racks etc.
QBTCoin
General business license(to place machines in business you do not own) is $400 the first year, then $200 each year after, $400 if you have 51-200 machines, and $600 if you have more than 200 machines. You will need permits on cranes and merchandisers that are not play 'till you win or winner every time. Of course, video games, jukeboxes, air hockey tables, pool tables, ticket redemption, etc need permits. The state permit is $60 per year per machine, prorated $15 every quarter. Check with the city and county you place machines in, many require additional permits to operate.
