Eric
I was wondering what it costs most people for a $0.25 candy vend? Thanks
G-man422
Usually COG is around 25%. Sometimes it can be as low as 8% like with gumballs.
alyssamma
It really depends on what you mean by "cost". Do you simply mean product cost? Or are you figuring in gas, taxes, etc? It also depends on how much candy you give out. For things like PMM as few here or there can make a big difference in COGS.
Eric
Cost of just the product alone, not including anything else. Thanks
Raredory
My average is 7.5 cents per vend atm.
Bravo Duck
If you know your cost per vend but not the percentage, all you have to do for a .25c vend is multiply by 4. Example 7.5 x 4= 30% Cost of goods sold- COGS For a .50c vend multiply by 2.
alyssamma
Eric, look at this thread: http://www.vendiscuss.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=346&forum_id=1&highlight=serving+size There you can see how many (fractions of an) ounces you are giving away with each vend. Then, determine what it costs to buy the product and you have your cost per vend. For example, if you buy PMMs for $10 for 50 ounces (just using nice round numbers) and you give away 6 with each vend (1/2 ounce), you get 100 vends for your $10, or each vend costs you $0.10. pdavid
Do you think 6 PMM's per vend is too cheap?
G-man422
David, I believe 6 is the norm for a 25-cent vend. That is what I give out.
