LandJGroup
Who's going? I'm going along with a buddy who just started. This will be my first auction of this type. I know each auction is different as far as both quality and quantity. What are some basics to get the most out of one these auctions?
hanihotdog
Buy low sell high. Don't buy anything you don't know inside and out.... odd's are it's a lemon. Your time knocking on doors is more valuable than that time you will spend trying to troubleshoot and repair

dkochan
I will be attending this auction on Saturday. Bring quarters and dollar bills to test the machines. Bring zip ties to secure cranes for transport. Sent from my BN Nook HD using Tapatalk
mainor5251
well it was either so good everyone cleaned up and is still busy unloading or it was a strike out and not worth mentioning
LandJGroup
I bought a fair amount of product bulk and plush. Networked with a few guys. The overall consensus was it was very average on both quality and quantity. I had no idea if this is true because it was my first, but I will take their word for it. I will definitely be going back with a excellent measure of what items sell for. I will also be pre ordering a lot of plush from the 50% off guys. hanihotdog
Is that a guy named Wilbur? Few yrs ago There was a guy from Virginia that tried to sell me used plush. His prices were phenomenal! When I pressed him on the fact that the items were used, he said they were store returns. I'm not sure if that's the same company, but be careful when something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

I'm not sure if that's the same company, but be careful when something seems too good to be true, it probably is. I almost lost a chain of 18 pizza huts because manager called me from one of the stores and ask "Do you buy your toys from goodwill?" and i felt my heart sink in my chest. My route guys put the plush in cranes and evidently there was a tag on one of the toys that was a goodwill tag.. I then found a bunch of plush with kids names wrote on tags with sharpies (like a parent would do to a kids toy if letting them take to school etc).. so that tells you what "store" the plush was pulled from!!! lol but i have looked at there stuff at auctions now and bought some and its new stuff and voiced my concerns and they assured me it was just some odd stuff from before they started importing their own. hanihotdog
Figure about 440 cases of plush per 40 foot high container. .171 cbm/case... Factories can make Real closeout material plush toys for about $1.3 fob... cheap Velux and Triko crap is closer to 1.10... add .20 per pc for freight to east coast and u get landed price of 1.5 and 1.3... then add on .05/pc to mix and package.. if you are paying less than that fob East Coast for jumbo plush, youre buying used crap from Goodwill!!! Even if you are paying slightly more than that, the seller is not covering overhead, and you are probably buying used crap!!
LandJGroup
Yeah I checked before and after I bought. All new, clean, and with the same tags. That's messed up for anyone trying to push used plush. That could be a huge disaster; from a safety concern and the potential of getting kicked. hanihotdog
Different items same tags? Or same items and same tags? Check to see if sewn in tags the same? It would be easy to put a new hang tag on a used piece. More trouble to change the sewn in tag.
BouncyBalls
Hani, they call it 50% off but it's still around a $1 piece for small I believe. I think you are thinking they are getting it for .50 cents piece but I don't think that's the case. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

hanihotdog
$1.00 for new jumbo plush is impossible. Even the prison factories cannot produce and ship to the east coast for that price. If they are selling jumbo plush for $1 you can guarantee that it is used and has been retagged.
