maestro489 Posted August 17, 2015 Share Posted August 17, 2015 I am in the process of completing a tax exempt form for sams and I am stuck on the "reason for exemption." There are several choices one of which is resale. I assume this is the correct option, but it asks for a resale# and I don't think I have one and nobody seems to be able to tell me what that is. Can anybody help? Also I selected Accommodatin and food service as the type of business, is that right. RJT Posted August 17, 2015 Share Posted August 17, 2015 Yes, resale is the correct one. The Resale # is sometimes called a tax ID # and can be gotten through your state. It is so you dont pay sales tax at purchase (at Sams) but you are responsible to collect it and pay it to your state. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
