darkinthepark
I am fixing up a Royal 660-9 GIII machine and I'm wondering if there may be something wrong with the chain mech. When you turn on the machine, the chain moves to find the home position, but gets kind of noisy right before it finishes finding its home. It seems much louder than my other GIII machine. Is this a sign something is wrong with the mech? Should the chain or sprockets ever be lubricated with anything? Below is a link to a video of the machine starting up. Thanks. PHX1
There is obviously a problem. The chain is getting stuck towards the end or your sprocket is messed up and is skipping. If you watch your video you will see at the end the motor is still spinning but the chain stops.
