chad
Just curious on how many of you have accountants and let them do your tax return for your bussiness. I had an accountant when I first got started and he helped me with getting started and he did my return for last year but now im wondering of I really need him. Do you file your own or do you have someone do them?
alyssamma
I file my own. TaxCut (or TurboTax) + Google = easy. If you have your previous year's returns you can pretty much follow exactly what was done on them... Kevin
Jay33
I just used one this year. I'm pretty good myself with TurboTax, but he got me back almost $1000 more than they did. He charges me $250 for my personal and business taxes combined.
alyssamma
Jay, I've seen other people say similiar things. If you don't me me asking...what did he do to get you a $1000 refund. That seems like a huge amount of $. What did you miss with TurboTax? Kevin
Jay33
Basically he told me TurboTax is designed to be conservative so users don't get into trouble with the IRS. He was able to be a lot more aggressive than I was at home. That extra $$ wasn't just my business return though; he does my personal and business combined. nepavend
I use an accountant also, he is more knowledgeable than I am with business filings. I got over $1000 more than I would have found myself with the limited knowledge I have and the conservative approach that software takes.

Can you give me a ballpark on how much your making, so the 1k is more relative?
gundog
In the past I have done my own. When I started doing business I hired an accountant. Money well spent I think. If you are audited at least you have someone to help you thru it.
