Cooter
Issue: Water Heater Element stays on after tank is up to set point I picked up a 673 that had been in storage for at least a few months. No major problems that I can see yet, except the water heats up to the set point (202 F) and keeps on going to 212 F. at which point, steam condenses inside the cabinet so bad, it eventually shorts something out, tripping the GFCI. I have tried lowering the set point, and putting it in low power mode, but nothing stops that heating element from getting hot. Something tells me it could be the Triac, or a problem with the control board. But since this is my first coffee machine, I figured I would throw this question to you fine folks before I start blindly tossing more money at this thing. Would appreciate any insight. AZVendor
It is the triac that isn't turning the heater off. It's stuck on so you have to replace it.

AZVendor
It's $16.50 at D&S Vending. https://www.dsvendinginc.com/p-3863-d9989-716a-national-triac-35-amp.aspx
Cooter
That solved the issue. While I was waiting for the Triac to arrive I used a Solid State Relay I had, in the interim. Was a little worried because the heater pulls a bit more current than the SSR is rated for, but it lasted long enough. Thanks again.
AZVendor
You, my friend, were lucky you didn't start a fire in your machine.
