rjpapageorgio
Can anyone recommend a candy machine or any type of 25 cent machine that can be used outdoors? I'm using them vend fish food, etc. RJ
Beer980
I do remember seeing them somewhere on the internet, maybe it was Ebay. Don't recall the brand though.
wrovending
I bet the super pro dentyne machine would work, if you just didn't use the decals. superprovending.com - You could just use the top part and mount it. etc hope this helps.
leo7068
I have thought about outdoor vending (when I was at six flags) and would recommend making a little wooden cover for any machines. You don't want rain, tree droppings, bird droppings, or direct sun on any machine.
rjpapageorgio
No, a cover will not work. My machines are located at restaurants on the ocean, so the salt water air alone will rust these things within weeks, even if they bring it inside at night. So far the closest thing that I can come up with is a Vendstar, because it's mostly plastic. However the locks and pole are metal. Still looking for a recommendation... The Dentyne Ice ones will not work. RJ
leo7068
You will always have a metal coin mechanism, but those spiral gumball machines are all plastic besides that and the top.
grumpy
Not a recommendation, but an obsevation Super Vend 2000 is all plastic except for screws and locks. Not sure I would buy one for any reason, they are always broken at a shared location Grumpy
rjpapageorgio
So far the Vendstar is the only one I have found with a plastic coin mechanism. Looks like I'll have to deal with replacing the locks and pole once in a while. Or at least spray Silicone on those parts whenever I service it. pusherman
i have also seen some ultravend machines with plastic stands and bases. check cl and ebay
grumpy
Have you checked with camlock for a replacement lock that will withstand seaside air? as for a stand you could make a wooden one like I have seen with SSF setups. Grumpy
