Coin tube gate closing on coins

I have a Coinco 9302-GX and coins keep getting stuck in the "coin tube gate"  (i.e. upper gate).  It looks like the gate closes before the coin falls through.  Is that just a bad solinoid or something else?

Could be gunked up or a bad plunger and yoke. Take the top part off and pop off the cover and take a look. Here is a link to a bad picture of the yoke assy.

If it is gunked try cleaning with warm soapy water and a damp rag or toothbrush. DO NOT use lubes unless you what you are doing and where to lube or you can  make it worse.
